March Building Tour: PNCA - Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Center for Art and Design

LOCATION: 511 NW BROADWAY, MEDIATHEQUE THEATER - 1ST FLOOR

Join us for lunch and a tour of this historic building, the original Post Office in Portland, which has been transformed into a hub of creativity for the Pacific Northwest College of Arts.  This building had magnificent bones, numerous skylights, expansive windows, lofty ceilings, and open spaces.   Design focused on adaptive reuse and preservation of key historical features, while introducing contemporary design and dynamic flow into a light-filled core of the building.

We will tour many of the space types in the facility that include art exhibition area, lecture hall, event space, classrooms, production facilities, library, innovation studio, theater, and incubator.

Networking from 11:30-12:00

Lunch and Tour from 12:00-1:30

Tour Guides:  Jesse Smith/Brent Medsker (Glumac), Rashmi Vasavada (Allied Works)
